The new program since autumn 2021
The concert program "European Folk Music Insiprations" presents some pieces of classical music in which the famous composers were inspired by traditional folk music. We hear examples from Poland (Henrik Wieniawski and Emil Mlynarski), Bohemia (Antonín Dvořák and Friedrich Smetana), Spain (Manuel de Falla) and Hungary (Béla Bartók). In the second half of the program you will hear some short authentic traditional folk music pieces and folk songs (Czech and German) from Bohemia with traditional folk musical instruments (Bohemian bagpipes, violin and short-necked violin) in costume. In one evening, classical music is confronted with its authentic folk music sources.

"Take my whole soul as a morning greeting!"
An exciting musical journey into absolute music. Since Wagner's time, there has been a debate in music aesthetics about whether program music or so-called absolute music is better. Wagner and Liszt were considered the composers of program music. Our concert program brings the arrangements of some of Wagner's works, with the idea of showing that this music without text, redesigned or arranged, is also absolute music. Immerse yourself with us in this fabulous and wonderful musical world and enjoy the depth, the ethereal clarity, the emotional truth and beauty of this music, this time different from usual, without text and program. The pieces of music alternate with excerpts from Richard Wagner's letters.
Alternatively, we play the program with Wagner's music without the letter texts. Another variant under the title "Wagner Worlds" shows this music together with the violin sonata by Cesar Franck, who was inspired by Wagner's music.
From Home. Bohemian Sonatinas.
Bohemia is a country full of small horizons, full of miniature landscapes that change very quickly as you travel through them. It is similar in this concert program "From Home. Bohemian Sonatinas." Each work is a miniature in which even more miniatures are hidden as individual movements - as varied as the country in which they were created. The selection of sonatinas is also varied, from composers of the 20th century to the Romantic era. The duo "From Home" by Friedrich Smetana shows the composer's longing for home and brilliantly reflects his enthusiasm for the Bohemian polka. The audience can expect a wonderful evening, a colorful musical bouquet from Bohemia.
